CR E Today, I watched what may be the worst Gene Hackman led movie I have ever seen. March or Die (1977). Hackman was decent in a really bad movie. I can't recommend it even though Hackman is in it. I give it a 5.4 out of 10. The interplay between Deneuve and Hill is humorous, poignient, and romantic and carries the film. But it's not actually a war film, for there's only one battle and it's at the end, but more of a character study of the harsh reality of soldiering in the French foreign legion, an army in which the soldiers are beholden to it not France. If you were looking for a lot of killing and action, you've come to the wrong place.
