Aman K Most violent Indian movie currently. It is more violent than kill and animal and the fight choreography, editing and performance were so good and admirable. First half focuses more on unni mukundan's charisma and it was from the second half on movie became more brutal and intense, but first half was also good too. Movie is stylish and intense. A must watch movie Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/22/24 Full Review Mohammed F What can I say 'Absolute cinema'.I don't know about others, for me it was a different experience. The pacing of the movie is a bit slow but it didn't effect the movie at all.Unnimukundan killed it.He was living the character. His dedication was absolute like the the movie.I never expected this from malayalam cinema. It was surprising.I noticed scenes from different movies in Marco but they made those scenes their own with their own style. It was all just wow.Its better not to talk about some scenes because it isn't so pleasant.I don't know the name of the actor who played antagonist but oh my he was a menace. He killed that role.I don't want to say any further.I absolutely recommend to go for the movie and you won't regret.I also recommend not to go with your family.Go alone or go with your buddies.Movie is peak, loved it.Hope they make more movies like this for action loving fans. This review contains significant plot details from Marco, shared to emphasize the movie’s unrelenting violence and its exploitative nature. If you still plan to watch, consider this your warning—but we strongly advise against it. Trigger Warning: Violence, Torture, and Gore For anyone considering watching this film, please be aware: Marco contains deeply disturbing depictions of violence that could be harmful to viewers. The deaths of children, brutal murders, and grotesque imagery are neither necessary nor justifiable. If you are sensitive to such content, avoid this film at all costs. And even if you are not, ask yourself—why do we need to subject ourselves to this? What are we gaining from normalizing such horrific depictions of revenge and brutality? Some films test your patience, while others test your humanity. Marco falls squarely in the latter category, presenting a relentless parade of brutality under the guise of storytelling. It’s not entertainment—it’s exploitation, and it’s time we stop clapping for such films. The plot, if one can call it that, revolves around two feuding families steeped in crime, revenge, and gold smuggling. The story opens with a chilling act of cruelty—a blind perfumer is gruesomely murdered by being drowned in hydrofluoric acid. From there, the violence escalates to increasingly grotesque levels, culminating in scenes so vicious they border on the sadistic. Children are mercilessly slaughtered, pregnant women are killed, and characters’ faces are disfigured—all for the apparent purpose of shock value. Marco (Unni Mukundan), the so-called protagonist, is little more than a killing machine. His sole purpose seems to be escalating the body count in a movie that sacrifices nuance and depth for cheap thrills. By the time the antagonist's adopted son exacts his revenge in an equally horrifying manner, any semblance of moral balance is lost. What remains is an endless cycle of violence that numbs the audience rather than engages them. This movie’s failure isn’t just in its storytelling; it’s in its intent. Marco glorifies violence to a dangerous degree. The audience is goaded into cheering for revenge, for bloodshed, and for cruelty. When did applause for human suffering become a badge of honor? This is not art; this is a spectacle of dehumanization. A Humble Request for Responsible Storytelling We, as an audience, have a responsibility too. Let us stop glorifying revenge as entertainment. Applauding mindless violence sends a message to filmmakers that this is what we value. But is it? Shouldn't creativity aim to uplift, to provoke thought, or even to entertain without resorting to cruelty? Films like Marco should serve as a wake-up call. As viewers, we must demand better. Storytelling should challenge us, inspire us, or even unsettle us—but never at the cost of glorifying brutality for its own sake. We deserve more from cinema, and so do the stories we tell.
