CAPRI F A well acted film, and a story of a woman who against all odds not only followed her dreams at a time where Hollywood marginalized actors of colors, yet Maria's determination got her to the top, and became the first actor to be named "the queen of technicolor. Celines Toribio's performance is subtle and powerful at the same time. The actress made not look like Montez, but Toribio's determination and drive to bring this story to the big screen gives any of us who have dreams, myself as a writer actor, hope, that with determination, hard work and faith nothing is impossible. In the end and in Maria Montez's life she not only accomplished all her dreams in a short lived life, but she found out that true happiness comes from being surrounded by loved ones, falling in love and becoming a mother, everything else is temporary, meaningless. Congratulations the entire cast and crew of Maria Montez in creating a high caliber motion picture with probably a small budget, demonstrating that a well written story, with a small team of dedicated creative artists is all you need and yes the support of an audience for whom we artists work for.
