júlio a Para a época certamente foi um filme pesado, hoje soa meio datado, mas ainda assim, eu achei muito bom ao que se propõe a fazer. E nada de final feliz, trilha sonora maravilhosa. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review delysid d I thought this was great, almost as great as vinvent price in witchfinder general, its a similar sort of picture but this has more torture Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/07/18 Full Review Audience Member Es sobre cuando acusaban a cualquiera de practica brujería y lo torturaban. Al final el malo escapa, el otro malo mata al bueno. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Very early example of torture porn. While it's a b-film, it's well acted and has some impressive production quality. It's quite horrifying to think of what women went through during those witch trials. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member 'Mark of the Devil' is a somewhat tired story, but it's well acted and handsomely produced. Herbert Lom is as magnetic as ever as the pompous Lord Cumberland, and Udo Kier shines in one of his earliest roles. There's some fantastic gore (though not as much as the advertising would suggest) and even a few touches of black humor thrown in where needed, much of it satirizing fragile masculinity. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/19 Full Review Audience Member Filmed on location, in castles in 1969 Austria, Mark of the Devil is a campy look at the days of German witch hunting. Who can resist a young Udo Kier and his dreamy blue eyes getting the zoom treatment? Lots of long 70's Break hair. And a la-la chorus accompanied by violins (soundtrack). Anton Bitel Sight & Sound It's a curiosity alright, but more akin to a Monty Python feature (with its tits out) than to, say, The Devils (1971). Nov 9, 2013 Full Review Ed Halter Village Voice Though the Pioneer is reviving this picture's original barf-bag-at-the-door promo gimmick, there's about a 50 percent chance it'll be more useful to save it for watching the returns on Election Night. Oct 19, 2004 Full Review Nicholas Bell IONCINEMA.com Bizarre performances and an unnaturally evocative ambience help overcome the film's desperate aim to shock. Rated: 2.5/5 Oct 28, 2020 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com The film is a bloody and brutal indictment of religious corruption. Rated: 1.0/4.0 Sep 16, 2020 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews The pic lacks the substance that made Michael Reeves' The Conqueror Worm a horror classic, as it too easily settles in to be solely a shocker torture-porn flick. Rated: C+ Oct 27, 2015 Full Review Sean Axmaker Parallax View An early entry in the "sex and sadism" genre, this is an exploitation film with an intelligence behind it, but an exploitation film nonetheless...
