Audience Member An epic mini series that features stand out performances from Peter O'Toole and Peter Strauss and a rousing score by Jerry Goldsmith. If you have 6 hours to kill and love sword and sandal epics than this is for you! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member get past the opening ten minutes, then get used to the Hollywood accents doing Israeli in Roman times - and if you're still with it... then sit back and relish the next 5 and a half hours. peter o'toole eating the already magnificent scenery is a sight to behold! after 6 hours, I still wanted more! even though the final two minutes is a dodgy bookend to the opening ten. all in all, a day well spent on the sofa. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member "a slave hates everyone who has even the appearance of freedom" amazing, I wanted to stop watching so I could make it last, great movie "The Victory?, we have won a rock in the middle of a wasteland on the shore of a poisoned sea" ______________________________________________________________ Dødsfjender, Dödsfiender, Veriviholliset, The Antagonists, ???? like the Alamo, not to be insulting (at all) http://isohunt.com/download/35209371/Masada.torrent MP4 HQ (4th cuts off a few seconds @ 44:05) may be a bit large to download throughhttp://www.bitlet.org/ but you can always try Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member this mini-series is truly the definition of 'epic.' 6 hours, historically detailed, expertly acted, legitimately engaging, suspenseful, funny, horrifying, gut-wrenching, inspiring--just damned good television. nothing this well-made would ever be broadcast on network tv today. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member I think I might have seen this almost 30 years ago when it was first shown on the BBC, and vaguely remebered bits (and that it was good), so bought it on DVD when it got reissued recently. It seems to have been shot in the real location. Certainly the "look" is very realistic and you can see that serious money (in TV terms) has been spent. The cast is first rate. Peter O'Toole in the lead role is outstanding, and he is supported by a fine cast of (almost entirely British) supporting actors. Timothy West, Anthony Quayle, Anthony Valentine, David Warner, Michael Elphick, Warren Clarke and even Christopher Biggins are all there. A pre-Fatimah Blush and pre-Angelica Nero Barbara Carrera as his Jewish concubine has a prominent role. The American part of the cast seems to be mainly up on top of the hill with Peter Strauss. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member A TV movie not worth all the scorn you can muster. Mainly due to high-caliber cast of film actors. Includes the legendary David rent-a-villain Warner being typically villainous. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
