Even the title of Master of Dark Shadows aims the documentary squarely at the large and enthusiastic audience, and this is the audience that is likely to enjoy it most. Nonetheless, this is an informative and engaging production.

It is a fun film, which moves quickly and has new information some fans might not even know. But it makes its point: Dan Curtis did a lot more than horror, even if he was instrumental in shaping it on TV.
