"Master of the Shadowless Kick: Wong Kei-ying" has its faults, with the melodramatic element being, once more, a bit excessive, but it is obvious that both the director and the crew are improving.

Clumsy and unrealistic fighting with lots of hard cuts in the flow. Annoying whiny kid. Protagonist that is supposed to be smart, but can't seem to figure out the obvious, like recognizing the marks of his teacher's weapon on the general's leg after he doesn't show up as expected, or asking the identity of a man in a mask after an entire movie where he dedicated himself to opposing the general... Who the hell else would it be?! There's a lot wrong with it, but not even in an entertaining way.
