''Life is the best time of your life.''</i> <b>- Matti Nykänen.</b></center> Interesting movie about the tragic life of the Finnish hero, Ski-jumper, Matti Nykänen. It's an entertaining, yet a sad, long hell ride to see some of what Matti has been through as a person. It's quite the journey, filled with drama, manipulation, scandals, media lies and so on. He goes through many tedious things to get off debt as well. I thought it was an alright film and nonetheless, very interesting. See more 01/31/2011 Officially, Matti has been humiliated. Vuoden eka katsottu leffa ja oliskohan leffavuosi huonommin alkaa? Tuskin. Leffan idea oli vissiin ympätä kaikki Matin klisee-kommentit ruudulle ilman sen kummempaa tarinankerrontaa tms. Ns. "juoni" hyppi eteenpäin miten sattui eikä todellakaan tuonut kovin kummoista katselunautintoa. See more 01/03/2010 I can't believe I watched this shit as long as I did. Review is actually not necessary with this one, as everyone in Finland knows what this movie is about and has seen it already if the subject matter is interesting to them. Everyone else should do something else with their lives. I will still write something, though, because I am a pest. Finnish cinema has an annoying problem. There are basically five actors and actresses that are used in every fucking movie, like there is literally no one else on the planet. I mean, Viggo Mortensen is an awesome actor, but I wouldn't want to see even him in every film, not to even mention these Finnish thespians. The other problem is a slightly bigger one. We make crappy movies. There, I said it. This is not even a proper biopic, which means it is probably unauthorized. That leads to stupid fictive elements that I hated, like changing some names and shit. They just wanted to make a movie to make money with the dude's name. But I have wasted too much of my time for this movie already. Really shitty start to the new year for me, I really hope this is not a sign of things to come.
