Fleeing bullies in a small Quebec village, 11-year-old Olivier (Émile Proulx-Cloutier) runs into the ghost of pirate Philippe de Beauchesne (Marc Labrèche). Beauchesne asks the boy to help him deliver an important document to his uncle, so Olivier joins the odd man, but the time-traveling task isn't easy; evil El Diablo (Raymond Cloutier), who leads a band of pirates, is after them, and eventually takes Olivier captive. This leads Beauchesne to gather Olivier's friends and attempt a rescue.

Audience Member On voit d'où vient l'inspiration de Johnny Depp pour Pirate des Caraïbes! lol. Un film pour enfant qui s'inspire d'un bel imaginaire. On adore Marc Labrèche. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Il faut l'avouer, Matusalem est franchement épatant et surprenant. Si toutes les avenues ne sont pas nécessairement convaincantes, l'ensemble est d'un amusent purement agréable et l'enthousiasme dégagé est une totale réussite.
