Khalil A. @3khall Dec 11 Action + Romance + Comedy + Heart = an all time great western! See more Nick E @nicksmovies93 Jul 2 A serviceable western. See more Blu B Jun 21 It's completely aimless nonsense and mindless and yet it's charming, fun, really funny, and well done. This reminds me of smething like Home Alone, Lethal Weapon 2, or Airplane where the script on paper should not work at all and devolve into a complete disaster or mess at times. It's a weird mixture of a romcom, western, and comedy in a very barebones plot about a Western Rancher who is the bigshot in town and stuff just happens. People fall in love, get spanked, indian raids happen, and tons of fist fights. It just goes into chaos at imes. Complete chaos and yet it works. This isn't meant to be taken serious, it's light hearted the entire way but also makes sense. The biggest thing here is the humor is really good actually with lots and lots of slapstick that's very well done. It suprised me how much I laughed and how well done the humor was. If that didn't work as well as it did this would collapse big time. The acting is really good and charming also. Everyone is having lots of fun and it shows on screen. The editing is solid enough too setting up the humor well but also keeping the sotry just on the rails enough. Everything else is really well done and great direction. Imagine the ending fight of the Quiet Man but it's half the movie almost. It's light hearted stupid mindless fun that isn't meant to be taken seriously. That being said, I don't know if this is for everyone. If your a Western fan, fan of the director, any actors in this, or dumb fun comedies but can get overlook the spanking scenes in the name of good fun give this a shot.
