Audience Member Such a smart way to talk about the complexities and unknowns of depression and relationships and how to work on yourself. Stellar cast! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/26/24 Full Review Teresa H Very different, brilliant film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/17/24 Full Review David W A movie with a simple space, Me, Myself, and the Void is a film that relies heavily on the talent of the cast in order to be successful, and they pull if off magnificently. What starts as a surreal dark comedy slowly dripfeeds into a poignant, introspective film that had me emotional by the end. The film takes you on this journey, placing little details throughout the story that really rewards you for paying attention, as even small expressions or vocal tones begin to hint at the story hidden beneath the story, especially as scenes and characters get recontextualized as the story progresses. One such character is Mia, played by the talented Kelly Tran, who brought the character fully to life and acting as the main emotional foil in the film. The other main supporting role, played by Chris W Smith, was the main comedic foil and was superbly funny in that role, while also proving more than capable of providing the nuances needed from the character in key moments and scenes. Jack De Sena was excellent in the leading role, playing off of Smith comedically, while also matching well with Tran in some very emotional, charged scenes, all while perfectly conveying the complexity of a very flawed, very real and relatable character. All in all, a fantastic indie movie. Definitely give it a shot! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/08/24 Full Review Ellie H Funny, entertaining and very moving, particularly one of the last scenes with Jack and Mia had me in tears. Highly recommend this film!
