Cash Manley (Howard Dell) is a black sports star poised to surpass Joe DiMaggio's record for the longest hitting streak in major league baseball history. Shockingly, he begins to receive the thumbs of black children in the mail, sent by an insane, racist serial killer who vows to strike again if Manley bests DiMaggio's mark. Detective Lou Mattoni (Scott Bakula), who has his own racial biases, is assigned to investigate the case along with black FBI lawman Altman Rogers (Leon).
