Audience Member The Meatballs movies aren't big on continuity, seeing as how Meatballs 2 wasn't even intended to be a sequel. But at least the third one brings back Rudy, now all grown up and Patrick Dempsey. Over the summer, he's working and working at a marina for Mean Gene. Sure, I guess that works, the producers thought. But what if, since the last one had an alen, this episode of the Meatballs story has the ghost of an adult movie star played by Sally Kellerman? What if she has to help our protagonist lose his virginity? And what if her boss was Shannon Tweed? Now we have a movie, they shouted, and shoved their faces into a mountain of white powder. Yes if Roxy Dujour can't get Rudy in bed with a lady, she goes to Hell. The God of the Meatballs continuity is definitely one that movies in very, very mysterious ways. Director George Mendeluk also made The Kidnapping of the President and Doin' Time, a movie I have been hunting down for a long time. Rated 2/5 Stars •  Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Fun 80's b movie cheese, Isabelle Mejias as Wendy is the most likeable and fun character in the movie and George Buza as mean gene is over the top and entertaining these 2 save the movie from being a trainwreck in my opinion, cool early 80's music and soundtrack. Rest of the cast is ok. Sally Kellerman, Al Waxman and Shannon Tweed seem to phone in their performances brings it down a bit. Featuring hot women and water sports, Meatballs 3 is a sequel worthy of watching along with the original, even if it isn't as good. Patrick Dempsey stars as the total nerd and there is actually a scene where he puts a sausage down his pants to look like he has a bigger penis. I was a fan of the wet T-shirt contest and the lady who won it. Her helpful advice includes padding his underwear with a stick of salami. Best scene is the opener and heads downhill from there.
