With little to recommend beyond a handful of entertaining set pieces, Mechanic: Resurrection suggests this franchise should have remained in its tomb.

Jesse Hassenger AV Club After a season of sagas, revivals, and franchise hubris, the flatness of a Statham sequel inspires its own kind of trash nostalgia. Rated: B- Sep 14, 2018 Full Review Radheyan Simonpillai NOW Toronto Mechanic: Resurrection aims to be no more satisfying than an oil change, and no one seems more bored by that prospect than Jason Statham. Rated: 2/5 Sep 2, 2016 Full Review Dmitry Samarov Chicago Reader Digital photography, with its limited ability to capture rapid movement, renders the close combat choppy and disorienting, and none of the kills is especially memorable. Sep 1, 2016 Full Review Avaryl Halley Movie Bitches The plot was really convoluted. May 6, 2020 Full Review Andrew Galdi Movie Bitches For the most part, it's not worth it. Mendy H The action sequences are fine. However, the plot contains a lot of cliches. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/21/24 Full Review Dave W While the fight sequences are pretty good, everything else is beyond stupid…If you hang on till the end you’ll hate yourself….For real entertainment, watch Charles Bronson in the original movie. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/10/24 Full Review MrAnjinn P As usual Jason Statham can take even a bad script and turn it into a success. The film grossed over $120 million mostly from China on a $40 million budget. The storyline was not that appealing to me, but some great scenic locations, visual effects, and lots of action made the film a success. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/08/24 Full Review Legendaryrey y This sequel it's not bad it has cool kill count and a lot of action Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/24/24 Full Review Rebecca S Definetely an action movie to watch. Quintessential Statham, good martial arts sequences. Entertaining. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/24 Full Review Jelisije J A predictable action flick, but an enjoyable action flick.
