Brandon Yu New York Times Their adventures play out with little charm, and the writing is often baffling, including the nonstop references to Pentatonix, who are also awkwardly featured in scenes throughout. Nov 7, 2024 Full Review Benjamin Lee Guardian It exists in Netflix festive movie world, an ever-expanding place of ever-diminishing returns, and while this won’t be a film someone would consider returning to next Christmas, it’ll just about do for now. Rated: 3/5 Nov 7, 2024 Full Review William Bibbiani TheWrap Christina Milian and Devale Ellis are adorable. That’s the whole movie in a nutshell. Nothing else has to work in order to get what we need out of it. Pentatonix can’t even play themselves convincingly, at all, and it still doesn’t hurt this thing. Nov 7, 2024 Full Review Jennifer Green Common Sense Media Despite an awkward setup, when this quirky Christmas romance settles into the main act of its two lead characters' getting to know each other, it wins in tone and sweetness. Nov 20, 2024 Full Review Liz Kocan Decider Unfortunately, [Pentatonix] only has about ten minutes of screen time, and the rest of the film is a madcap adventure of a grown woman obsessively trying to get tickets for a Pentatonix show that’s, at best, silly, and at worst, absolute nonsense. Nov 11, 2024 Full Review Matt Hambidge FandomWire Meet Me Next Christmas may not be a "good" movie in the traditional sense. But within its genre, where movies often feel interchangeable with each other, there's enough here to give this its own identity, and that's something worth praising. michelle g I like the plot, and the movie would be super cute EXCEPT the main character is so so so unlikable. She is rude and condicending the whole time while every other character have no other role except to serve her. Other than her there is no depth of other characters or parallel plot lines it was just all around her who is not enjoyable to watch. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/22/24 Full Review Audience Member The perfect lame & “bad” Christmas hallmark movie that makes you laugh Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/21/24 Full Review Laura D I loved this. Watched it twice this season. If you like Pentatonix this is a must see. It’s fun how they worked them into the movie. The chemistry between the characters is fantastic. Heartwarming amd entertaining. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/21/24 Full Review Wendy B This movie was okay. It was a little too silly and slapstick for my taste. But it was a nice ending. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/18/24 Full Review K S This was a beautiful story with real funny moments and relatability. Not like the hallmark movies with bad wigs and the SAME story line where the buisness is going under and the person who moved away comes back and has to save it and ends up falling in love with the person they use to be at odds with. Great job directors, actors and all involved.we need moreee Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/17/24 Full Review Alec B Cute, but clichéd like all the many modern Christmas romcoms. Meet Me Next Christmas follows Layla (Christina Milian) on a bizarre quest through New York City to secure tickets for a sold-out Pentatonix Christmas Eve concert, aiming to reconnect with a man she met at the airport one year prior. The film leans into a predictable narrative that aligns with what you'd expect for an ending. Milian's performance brings charm to the lead role, and her chemistry with co-star Devale Ellis adds a cute spark to the storyline. While the plot is a complete stretch beyond believability, the movie offers some lighthearted humor. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/17/24 Full Review Read all reviews
