Yukari pours all her heart and soul into her anthropomorphic yakiniku manga, "Meat is Mine," but she can't bring herself to love herself. At 27, she sees her fellow fujoshi friends abandoning their lives one after another to pursue marriage, childbirth, and other pursuits. Feeling anxious and impatient about continuing to live solely on work and hobbies, she decides to start looking for a partner. However, she is defeated miserably at a group date she attends. While passed out drunk on the street in Kabukicho, she is saved by a beautiful hostess named Rai. This encounter leads Yukari into a new world.
