Audience Member Being able to watch this in a screening with the director Miguel Coyula was one of the best experiences I ever had when watching a film. Especially a film so deep with symbolism and stunning creativity that I have been anxiously awaiting a DVD release of the film since 2009. Owning Miguel's films "Red Cockroaches", "The Plastic Fork" and "Light Valve" I can very clearly say that I am a big fan of the director. "Memories of Overdevelopment" is a bravely unique way of approaching social alienation and the feeling of self-stagnation in a world that understanding leaks through fingers regardless how tight the grip. Amazing use of collage, a master of precise and flawless editing and pacing, it is a must see for all those who bask in creative splendor of such epic socially conscious pieces of cinema such as Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey" and "A Clockwork Orange", as well as Luis Buñuel's "Land Without Bread".
