The film is a celebration of its subjects and a homage to the freedom of old age. It’s a mesmeric trip down memory lane that’s well worth taking. Go to Full Review

Vince Q @Vincedeq Nov 2 The Costa Rican Best Foreign Language Film offering. A stirring recounting of sexual repression and vilification in the 50s, a lifetime of secret gratification and forbidden memory, and finally, the release of an enlightened final act, sexuality without recrimination. A charming film about the freedoms that come with wisdom and age. The formulaic narration device isn’t my favorite storytelling method: regardless, I found it an important story worth the watch.
