Margo E This is the last in the Mexican Spitfire series ending in 1943. Even though Lupe Velez is suppose to be the star we find that she no longer sings or dances in this installment. She appears in about 30 percent of the movie and Leon Errol assumes the major role (roles he plays two characters) during the film. The story is very silly with some kind of wild bobcat (who never appears with the cast) giving birth to a baby in Lupe's home in Arizona (what happened to New York?) and the birth of the kitten somehow being confused with Lupe giving birth to a baby. On the plus side we see a young Hugh Beaumont (Father in Leave to Beaver) in this film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/01/23 Full Review Read all reviews
