Mickey's Christmas Carol was probably my first introduction to Charles Dickens' classic Christmas tale. And, I have to say, it is a pretty great introduction to that story. This animated movie flies along at a fairly brisk pace, and even though it's only 26 minutes long, it still hits all the important points and maintains the heart of the original novella. Plus, it features fun cameos from various Disney characters. This lighthearted short also has comedic moments not found in most other adaptations. I loved Mickey's Christmas Carol when I was a kid, and I love watching it with my children today.

A delightful half-hour rendition of 'A Christmas Carol' featuring Mickey as the humble Cratchit and Uncle Scrooge McDuck as the miserly lead. It captures all the essence of Dickens' classic tale, brimming with the spirit of the original but without the spine-chilling moments.

Disney's take on the Charles Dicken novel certainly works on every aspect which was able to utilise their own characters from the likes of notable characters from Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Ducktales' Scrooge McDuck as Ebenezer Scrooge who works really well as the character and provides the charm within a well crafted story. This is one cartoon that I am sure families will certainly enjoy during the Christmas period.
