An underrated gem, this trio of animated Christmas shorts draws inspiration from two timeless tales: William Dean Howells' 'Christmas Every Day' (1892) and O. Henry's 'The Gift of the Magi' (1905). The standout is the adventure featuring Huey, Dewey, and Louie, in their charming spin on Groundhog Day. As their dream of endless Christmas days becomes a reality, it cleverly suggests that Christmas holds its special charm precisely because it comes but once a year.

This has been my all-time favorite Mickey Mouse Holiday Special movie. I love all three side stories, to make the characters have an each experienced story and influence of Christmas time. Love that movie!!!
