It is a real tearjerker but with hope and positivity based as it is on a true story and it creates an education for all of us, and indeed a reminder, that there are casualties of war back at home. While the main 2 characters play their parts well, the writing/story quality is not there. (Side note - where are the babies and toddlers & why does the teenage daughter go with the choir on their big performance)? See more Glafira Regina O @Glafira_Regina May 19 A pretty good film with a beautiful, true-to-life story—the tale of the first women’s choir formed by the wives of soldiers fighting in Afghanistan. I’m not claiming every detail is factual (it’s a movie, after all, and some events were clearly added to spice up the plot), but the gist is clear. It’s a bit sentimental and sugary for my taste, and there are no real twists—everything unfolds quite predictably—but it’s still worth a watch.
