Critics Consensus

Despite a pair of talented stars and a central concept with a certain amount of real-world relevance, the narratively superficial Miller's Girl rings hollow.

Alonso Duralde Breakfast All Day My worst list of 2024 starts right here. Rated: 2.2/10 Feb 2, 2024 Full Review Charles Bramesco Inside Hook From one scene to the next, a viewer may experience trouble discerning whether this is a merely stupid movie, an amusing specimen of semi-witting camp, or stealth coup of high-wire self-parody. Feb 2, 2024 Full Review Sergio Burstein Los Angeles Times What cannot be denied is that the film is well shot and that Ortega, like Freeman, fulfills their roles without much fault, which, for many spectators, will be more than sufficient. Mr. Hollywood What a joke. It is pretentious and leads no where. And the turn in the movie is so contrived clearly just out to send a message not entertain at all Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/09/24 Full Review Bruce R It was a nice vehicle for Jenna Ortega. And it was great seeing Martin Freeman in a leading role. Unfortunately he seems to have attended the Jodi Foster school of stoicism. And Jenna still has the "I'm not from around here" aloofness from the Wednesday series. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/01/24 Full Review Grayson P An absolutely fantastic meditation on desire, consequence, and grow. My heart absolutely breaks for Winnie and condemns all others. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/24 Full Review denise it moved along. only a couple of times i rolled my eyes wondering how much time left. the acting was good. the best part was the discussion between my co watchers J and A after the movie was over. took us 15 minutes to get out of the theater. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/24 Full Review David G Good story line.. Moves along quickly . Very good visually. Music was very well done . I am a little biased but my son Bernie was the executive producer and I think did a he'll of a good job Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/24 Full Review Julie Awful movie! Would give 0 stars if I could.
