Richard C @RT52188747 Sep 14 I have no issues with true dramas that draw from the realities of being married for 15 plus years, but watching couples stab at each other with one hand and juggle affairs with the other just left me looking at my watch at 60 minutes in. Acting was good but the characters were archetypes of codependents and it ended as you thought it would. The Millers self sabotaging themselves. Yawn. Maybe that was the point. You literally leave this movie fully depressed. All the actors are good - don’t get me wrong - but there is basically no story arc and everyone ends up broken up. If the goal was to make the audience melancholy, well, they nailed it. The only redeeming quality of this movie was in the architecture and visuals of the countryside and cobblestone and brick facades the viewer sees. This is one of the most sophomoric movies I’ve seen in a long time. The story arc is so cliche and cringy leading to such poor acting that I cannot even begin to understand how it got 56% on Rotton Tomatoes. And don’t even get me started on the most low budget Casio keyboard score. You can just see the pianist making it up on the spot as they watch this unwatchable movie. Is ChatGPT a thing for scores? PLEASE do yourself a favor and skip this movie. You can thank me later for getting 2 hours of your life back. UGH, it just makes me so mad thinking about how bad it was all over again!
