09/30/2012 A simple and realistic depiction of life in England during WW-II. Examining versions relationship with lots of emotion and humour. Enjoyable and relaxed watch. See more 08/16/2012 Great depiction of wartime England. Initially choppy narrative hurrying to the point at which everyone is placed in their responsibilities. Successfully conveys the gradual development of self realisation and relationships forming: "I don't suppose you'd marry me would you?" ~ "I don't mind.." See more 03/10/2012 Excellent British film which shows life among women left at home while men were at work. In particular it shows how women from all backgrounds worked on the home front. Fascinating, warm hearted and thoroughly recommended. See more 09/17/2011 Not bad for an old black and White film. Good script. Interesting to see the difficulties and issues that surrounded this time in War History. Not bad! See more 08/16/2011 I really loved this. Slow in parts, and totally romanticized but I could not stop watching. It's a great rainy-day film. A good portrayal of the hardships in Britain during this time.
