Critics Consensus

Miracles from Heaven makes the most out of an outstanding performance from Jennifer Garner, but it isn't quite enough to keep this faith-based drama from preaching to the choir.

Kevin Maher Times (UK) Miracles from Heaven is manipulative, blunt, super-Christian propaganda that's dignified and deeply moving in its own way. Rated: 3/5 Oct 10, 2016 Full Review Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com To have it suddenly blatantly preach to the converted and to the converted alone is a missed opportunity of massive proportions, making watching Miracles from Heaven at all a serious waste of time. Rated: 1.5/4 Aug 15, 2016 Full Review Roxana Hadadi Chesapeake Family Magazine Miracles From Heaven aims for faith-based audiences, and its narrow focus keeps the film's message of possibility and positivity from wider viewers. Rated: 2/5 Aug 2, 2016 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com The kind of film that will affirm the faith of believers yet even non-churchgoers will find much to love here. Rated: 3.5/4.0 Sep 16, 2020 Full Review Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens Powerful, emotionally satisfying and uplifting, you'll leave the theatre with a smile on your heart and a belief in Miracles From Heaven. Nov 5, 2019 Full Review Rachel Wagner rachelsreviews.net The thing that impressed me about this film was how subtle it was compared to other faith-based films. I dont know the number of times i cried watching this movie but happy that it has a beautiful ending. Knowing that it id a real life story just adds to how wonderful it is. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/11/24 Full Review Danny P Loved every single minute of this movie. Even loved it more after I found out that it was based on a true story. ❤️❤️❤️God is good. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/03/24 Full Review Ky M I thought it was a very heartwarming movie. It's based on a true story, and if you took the time to look it up, it pretty much happened like that. I wish I could down vote the neighsayers, their apprehension to Christianity seems to have taken their souls as well. If you've ever had children or pets that pass, you know the trauma. And if you're just a bellowing brick head, don't watch it. Put down the remote and walk away. The description tells what the movie is about, it is literally in the title. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/14/24 Full Review KB B This was such a compelling, inspirational movie with great acting and a wonderful script based on true events. They don't make enough movies like this. It's a tearjerker. It's definitely worth the watch. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/27/24 Full Review Stephen S This is a very heartwarming and moving film. While it has many emotionally intense scenes, the outstanding performances from the cast especially Jennifer Garner and Kylie Rogers, and the inspiring messages help make the film memorable and profoundly moving.
