See more 03/02/2015 I went into viewing Misogynist intrigued to say the least, especially with all of the Fifty Shades of Grey hype these days. What I didn't foresee was for the film to systematically dive into the character's minds and dissect their intentions to the point that it did. If you have prejudged Misogynist as a movie that supports chauvinism and violence towards women prior to viewing it first, you might want to reassess your approach to the film because that's not the case here. This film is better explained as a strong first indie thriller feature film with a fresh take on some touchy themes such as narcissistic behavior, abusive relationships and dominance.
