When a terrorist threatens to bomb the Miss United States pageant, the FBI rushes to find a female agent to go under cover as a contestant. Unfortunately, Gracie is the only female FBI agent who can "look the part" despite her complete lack of refinement and femininity. She prides herself in being "just one of the boys" and is horrified at the idea of becoming a girly girl.

This is an absolute classic. Sandra Bullock dominates the screen with perfect comedic timing. I created an account just to write this review because I was so shocked by the low scores. Poor taste, people. This movie is a slice of Americana, warts and all.

A very fresh, funny and cheesy movie well worth the time! Sandra Bullock is awesome! In fact, he entire cast was just great! Caine, Bratt, Bergen and Shatner were so funny! Ignore the mediocre reviews and see for yourself! And, if you didn't watch the sequel, you should!

Sandra Bullock is the shining star of Miss Congeniality. She is so entertaining to watch whether she's being the rough & tumble FBI agent or she's playing the part of a beauty queen (er… scholarship recipient). I would say Bullock obviously got in shape for this role by carrying the movie on her shoulders, but the rest of the cast is pretty fantastic, as well. Michael Caine is particularly delightful as the vicious Victor, and Heather Burns is just so sweet & innocent as Miss Rhode Island. It's not a flawless movie, but Miss Congeniality has a unique inner beauty that makes it stand out from the crowd.
