Kristen Lopez Culturess Miss Stevens is a sensitive foray into the teacher drama that doesn't leap over convention so much as gives it a warm hug, anchored by an entrancing performance by Lily Rabe. Nov 20, 2017 Full Review Christopher Orr The Atlantic A small but likable film. Mar 16, 2017 Full Review Katie Walsh The Playlist Hart manages to capture those uniquely intimate and complicated friendships that crop up between teachers and students... Rabe does a masterful job of conveying Miss Stevens' fragility. Sep 22, 2016 Full Review Sean Mulvihill FanboyNation.com Miss Stevens is an infinitely charming movie with an emotionally honest core. Vivi N Warm, well played and a great mix of feel good and struggling with emotions. Lily and Timothée have great chemistry, and Timothées monologue is nothing more then brilliant Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/26/24 Full Review SkyRo P This film was a pleasant watch. It portrayed a teacher who genuinely cared for her students' success and well-being, which was a refreshing and heartwarming aspect of the story. Although the movie may come across as dated due to its production being from an earlier time, before advancements in videography and cinematography, it still manages to convey its message effectively. While there may be some rough patches in the storytelling, overall, it's an enjoyable and lighthearted film. It serves as a good option for a quick and easy watch when you're in need of something to pass the time and want a feel-good movie to lift your spirits. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/15/24 Full Review Gareth v Feel good indie dramedy. Doesn't break any new ground or take any risks but entertaining enough. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/22/23 Full Review Emma C This was so bad. I only watched it for Timothee Chalamet and even him being in the movie didn't make it good. Literally so bad constantly fast forwarding and then it was over. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/25/23 Full Review Sandy A Wow, a star is born in Timothée Chalamet. I couldn't keep my eyes off him. What a moving, simple, beautiful story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/19/22 Full Review Audience Member I watched it because it was mentioned in a review. Lilly Rabe gives a stunning performance, reaching levels of vulnerability, angst, loneliness, clearheadness at times, and totally muddled thinking at others, that made this movie enjoyable to view.
