Birithivy Y Miss You - 7/10. You know what, the first half of this movie was super generic and okay that I felt like this would be another Takkar situation. But, from the intermission onwards, the twist actually helps this movie so much. It goes from a regular romcom to becoming an actually engaging one. Even with the twist, the movie is still a little bit flawed in terms of execution. Kinda wish that the twist wasn’t brought into the film at the middle but at least a quarter of the way into the story. Life works in mysterious ways, but what if the person you fall into a like/love with happens to be someone who you had a failed love/marriage with? How would it feel if you have to remember things and trying to piece together the love, and the reason why you got into an accident? This kinda felt like The Vow and Deepavali in a way (not exactly the same type of films, but similar in terms of trying remember a main character’s respective love). Siddharth is good here (this man has the fountain of youth cause he looks literally the same), the chemistry between him and Ashika is good too, and Ghibran’s music is great here too (tamil cinema has sadly not given him his due, even after his collabs with Kamal). Though its not perfect, I still enjoyed this to a certain extent, and the twist onwards is where this movie gets good! Decent! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/04/25 Full Review Read all reviews
