I enjoyed the performances from Iwan Rheon and Stefanie Martini, but extraordinarily clunky CGI and the reliance on the old "I'll translate this crazy Englishman as saying something humorous" got tiring quite quickly.

Too long, like an ankle-length miniskirt. The movie is meant to honor WWII Polish fighter pilots from the most successful Hurricane combat unit in the Royal Air Force so I need to be careful not to condemn the intent. There were redundant 'character development' scenes when just one would have given a sense of the person. The CGI made the farthest off Hurricane fighter look as crisp as the closest. In their caps and oxygen masks and cage-like cockpits, German and Polish pilots looked identical. It was often hard to know who had just got got. The subtitles were verbatim instead of summarized so while reading them you can miss the whole scene. I'd give it a C+.

Dreadful. Cliched, stereotypical dross. CGI was not as convincing as a Thunderbird episode from the late 60's. Embarrassing to watch.

Loved the story based on true events. The fact the 303, Polish fighter squadron, was the most successful in the whole Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britain was remarkable, untold history at least for me, an Irish-Polish American. Sure, maybe it's not a Spielberg / Williams production, but I learned a lot. Shame that the pilots either had to choose between menial jobs in England after the war, or return to Soviet-controlled Poland, where many died and whose families died during the war. Want to see a documentary about this now or read a book about it and the pilots.
