Time Out The film does grip, despite the sometimes below-par quality of both the camerawork and the acting. Dec 27, 2011 Full Review Caryn James New York Times Mr. Goldblum, Ms. Baker and Mr. Bates (in a relatively small role) all seem professional, restrained and uncomfortable, which is at least a tribute to their good sense. Baba B I think perhaps people should give this film more credit than it has received. It is often criticized a "cheap" feel but for me, that is part of the attraction, that from the very beginning scene of the two guys going down the road on the motorcycle, the feel is a Made For TV film. I believe if you surrender right away to that instead of fighting for expectations that certainly it has to change and improve by the next scene, you will find yourself actually going down the rabbit hole this film intended to pull people through. Difficult for me to explain. You almost have to feel like this is the first movie you have ever seen in your entire life. Like taking a hit of blotter acid without actually abusing drugs. Then you will actually come out of it that this film should have won an Oscar for best film. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/28/24 Full Review Steve D Some good ideas but never puts them together, Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/09/23 Full Review jason d This is one of Jeff Goldblum's best movies and that is saying a lot.
