Paul Lê Tales from the Paulside Bertino's second directorial outing is bleak, thematically inarticulate, and maybe even broaching on needless. Yet for a more concentrated and effective delivery of his feel-bad approach to the genre, nothing quite matches the frenzied Mockingbird. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 6, 2024 Full Review Ted Hentschke Dread Central It's the baked chicken of horror, a C+ effort brought out when you have family over but it isn't a holiday. May 14, 2020 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...it's ultimately impossible to overlook the nonsensical manner in which the whole thing finishes. Rated: 2/4 Nov 29, 2015 Full Review Matt Donato We Got This Covered Mockingbird plays like an over-bloated V/H/S anthology segment that wastes a jolting start on generic, recycled "found footage" tropes seen a billion times before. Audience Member One of the most worst movie ever. Such a waste of time. Non sense at all. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Caydann C I walked in to this movie a normal person when I left I was changed for good. I was changed in an amazing way it was an experience like no other. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/20 Full Review Audience Member Horrible! I'm so tired of poorly filmed "found. footage" - better named "found garbage!": No explanation for the predictable ending. Slow-paced, disjointed, stee-U-pid and boring. The only good point I didn't pay for it. Free On Demand but DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member ANOTHER LOW QUALITY SHAKY FIRST PERSON CAMERA MOVIE. THIS FAD NEEDS TO DIE, THEY ARE NOT ENJOYABLE TO WATCH, NOBODY WANTS TO SEE A MOVIE SHOT SUPER POORLY WITH THE CAMERA ALL OVER THE PLACE. THE ACTING WAS HORRIBLE FOR THE MOST PART. A FEW OF THE JOKES ALMOST PROVIDED A LITTLE COMEDY RELIEF BUT IT WASN'T ENOUGH TO MAKE THIS POORLY MADE MOVIE ANY BETTER. STORYLINE WAS WEAK. THUMBS DOWN ON THIS ONE. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Surprisingly predictable and quaint, coming from the immense talent behind "The Strangers". Juggles images without any real story telling or insight into the deranged human mind. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review don s A married couple, a single young lady, and a young man who still lives with his mother are all "gifted" a camcorder that won't turn off. The couple and lady are given instructions to keep filming or someone will die. The man is told it is a contest to win $10K, and he is to dress up like a clown and follow instructions placed on notecards at every location he is sent to. They all are frantic; the director tries hard to build tension through music and lighting effects. There are no special effects. All the "players" end up at a residence on Mockingbird Lane (hence the title). The result is not shocking or even surprising. And the ending comes out of nowhere and has no logic related to the movie in any way. Nice try but no cigar. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
