Choppy, boring, utter waste of time. To be frank it was so bad it was funny. My favorite line was "Oh sorry! I shouldn't have turned around so abruptly!" the characters either talked like over-millennialized millennials or people who are stuck in the past and don't understand anything modern. Also the romance wasn't thrilling.

At first I wondered if it was bad on purpose, but nope. How is it that an entire movie can be full of stiff unconvincing bad acting from every single actor? I quit about a half hour into the movie when it never got any better and I am the kind of person who will watch a bad movie until the bitter end, because I hate to not see an ending. I just could not do it with this one. This would have to be in my top 10 bad movies of all times.

I came with low expectations, because of other reviews. I decided to not pay for a viewing. It's finally on Hulu. This movie was more fun than I anticipated, but I'm a sucker for any film adaptation of Jane Austin.

The only storyline better than people falling in love is people who were once in love falling back in love. Jane Austen knew that in Persuasion and this remix uses some highlights from the book with some updates for the era of social media.
