Finley W Choppy, boring, utter waste of time. To be frank it was so bad it was funny. My favorite line was "Oh sorry! I shouldn't have turned around so abruptly!" the characters either talked like over-millennialized millennials or people who are stuck in the past and don't understand anything modern. Also the romance wasn't thrilling. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/05/22 Full Review Honest R BORING. Stupid. Attempted to appear and move like 'Younger'.. FAILED. Choppy transitions. It's so bad. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/24/22 Full Review Donna B The supporting actors were waayyy more fun than the main players. Had to skip through bits…too many close ups of Alicia Witt looking helpless…Annoying Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/09/22 Full Review Rosana B Tem coisa mais gostosa que curtir as manhãs de férias assistindo uma comédia romântica leve, divertida e muito gostosa, sob as cobertas num diazinho frio... #perfeito tão lindinho, tão fofinho, tão clichezinho e tão emocionante que até chorei... #emocionei Destaque para os personagens e aquele humor seco que eu super amo... Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/03/22 Full Review Katrina M At first I wondered if it was bad on purpose, but nope. How is it that an entire movie can be full of stiff unconvincing bad acting from every single actor? I quit about a half hour into the movie when it never got any better and I am the kind of person who will watch a bad movie until the bitter end, because I hate to not see an ending. I just could not do it with this one. This would have to be in my top 10 bad movies of all times. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/20/22 Full Review Audience Member I came with low expectations, because of other reviews. I decided to not pay for a viewing. It's finally on Hulu. This movie was more fun than I anticipated, but I'm a sucker for any film adaptation of Jane Austin. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Nell Minow AWFJ.org The only storyline better than people falling in love is people who were once in love falling back in love. Jane Austen knew that in Persuasion and this remix uses some highlights from the book with some updates for the era of social media. Nov 18, 2021 Full Review Cath Clarke Guardian The biggest crime against Austen, and the film's fundamental flaw, is turning woman-of-substance Anne Elliot into yet another romcom thirtysomething cat lady sighing dreamily at the Manhattan skyline while waiting for Mr Right. Rated: 2/5 Feb 3, 2021 Full Review Guy Lodge Variety Both too innocuous and too flatly imagined to stir much feeling either way. Dec 16, 2020 Full Review Jennifer Merin AWFJ.org Directors Alex Appel and Jonathan Lisecki's contemporary adaptation of Jane Austen's beloved novel is a well-crafted update. Nov 18, 2021 Full Review Jade Budowski Decider Succumbs to many a cliché and never allows any real sparks to fly between its two leads.
