Grant Watson FILMINK (Australia) It has a tendency to be a little too complicated and over-stocked with subplots, but it has a pleasant heart and is headlined by some very watchable performances. Rated: 6/10 Sep 5, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member i liked how each person continued to live the lives they wanted but unfortunately the quirky and mostly insecure Cheng didn't have enough presence to raise the bar. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A Chinese New Year movie filled with beautiful and magical cast, but with no trace of any Chinese New Year element in the movie. The story didn't manage to keep up to it's title and is really put to waste when they downplay the cooking portion and up-play the love stories by triple the ratio. They definitely missed out the perfect magical potion ratio to a good romance-food movie. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Totally bad movie. Make use of Andy Lau name but he isn't the lead actor and not in the movie much. Instead using a stupid guy who can't sing or act. Sammi Cheng alone can't save this movie. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Sammi and Andy Lau cannot be on screen together unless they are falling in love, their coupling is too iconic to forget. As unbelievable as Sammi and Jerry Yan getting together was, Andy Lau playing the charming ex ruined it. Jerry never looked hotter than in this film, though. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member sparkly & spunky performance by sammi cheng -- u'll be thoroughly entertained if u withhold disbelief ;p some gemstone lines in here. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This is not a highly remarkable movie in any respect. In fact, it followed the formula of most every Hong Kong romantic movie I've seen. I got what I wanted: a quirky, convoluted love story that centers around larger than life characters who somehow resist becoming charicatures. Not my favorite Sammi Cheng movie, but very enjoyable.
