Depressing. The movie revolves around a family curse. Overall it’s not a bad movie, and is definitely on the slower side. The small bit of cgi they used is bad and unnecessary, as they could’ve easily just used practical effects. This definitely isn’t for casual horror fans, but even if you are a horror fan idk if I can recommend this one. Not bad, not good, just meh.

La idea esta buena, tiene una historia muy original y giros bastante sorprendentes. El problema principal es el ritmo: se les fue la mano con el cocinado a fuego lento y, lamentablemente, por momentos resulta muy aburrida. Como cumple vale la pena mirarla pero si se mira la primera hora adelantando no seria mala idea.

When Betriek was a child, her grandmother committed suicide. Two decades later the mark that incident left will flare up, possibly connected to the recent archaeological dig in the nearby peat bogs. Wow! I was really impressed by this work of folk horror. Brink does an amazing job as a first time director setting the mood and establishing the characters. It has a strong sense of place and one of the most amazing school plays I've ever seen (the execution of the exposition is probably my most favorite scene)(double exes intended). A well crafted film for sure.

Moloch ist ein Horror-Mystery-Film von Nico van den Brink… Ein solider Folk-Horrorfilm, mit einer guten Geschichte (Drehbuch). Die von Nico van den Brink nahezu perfekt, aber etwas langatmig inszeniert wurde… Mit einer sehr guten schauspielerischen Leistung der Darsteller…
