Awesome folklore movie. Great twist and pacing. Well worth a watch. I'd say it's about 50/50 in Dutch and English.

La idea esta buena, tiene una historia muy original y giros bastante sorprendentes. El problema principal es el ritmo: se les fue la mano con el cocinado a fuego lento y, lamentablemente, por momentos resulta muy aburrida. Como cumple vale la pena mirarla pero si se mira la primera hora adelantando no seria mala idea.

When Betriek was a child, her grandmother committed suicide. Two decades later the mark that incident left will flare up, possibly connected to the recent archaeological dig in the nearby peat bogs. Wow! I was really impressed by this work of folk horror. Brink does an amazing job as a first time director setting the mood and establishing the characters. It has a strong sense of place and one of the most amazing school plays I've ever seen (the execution of the exposition is probably my most favorite scene)(double exes intended). A well crafted film for sure.

It flirts with a formula while turning. To me it's a real horror film. Unsettling, good acting, very much worth it. Even if you predict aspects, the execution transcends expectation.
