Steve D The match is so odd and the story so thin it is hard to like. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/14/23 Full Review knichols n acutely acted and scripted. an exquisite ciswoman fantasy, confounding closeted male homosexuals at the time, a critical first shot at feminine nuance. ahead of its time. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Due to Jane Wagner's highly insightful writing and her intimate relationship with Lily Tomlin, you would think this movie might be of value. It is devastatingly bad and incredibly awkward. This isn't the level of bad cinema that becomes campy and fun to watch. It is just painfully bad. I must confess, I could not look away. For that reason alone I feel I am obliged to give this movie a full star. It is of interest for sheer oddity. Make no mistake, this is intended to be a realistic movie. It takes itself very seriously. I have to write that the sex scene between Lily Tomlin and John "Strip" Travolta is the polar opposite of erotic. Once the tops are off, I found myself confused about who was doing what. Travolta and Tomlin are both thin and have almost identical haircuts. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Travolta and Tomlin as the least likely lovers you'll ever see in a major motion picture. Just sad and kid of pathetic. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member The unseen character Greg is far more interesting than these bland, similar looking characters. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I actually liked this movie. I started watching it out of curiosity, to see young John Travolta and Lily Tomlin in a romance together, but kept watching it to see what would happen. I image this is what some romance novels are like. Sweet, sexy, caring young man falls for woman who doesn't feel appreciated. My main complaint would be that the tempo dragged at points. There was plenty of nudity, though not full nudity, the plot was interesting, and it had a happy ending. :) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Melissa Anderson 4Columns This strange, oddly touching movie never fails to fascinate, demonstrating the challenges of performing desire, and revealing the kinds of emotional connections that can fill the void left by the utter absence of sexual chemistry between a screen couple. Sep 13, 2021 Full Review Richard Brody New Yorker A superb romantic melodrama... Sep 14, 2019 Full Review Gary Arnold Washington Post Moment by Moment is a Grade-A stinker, hatched under Stigwood auspices for the greater mortification of Lily Tomlin and John Travolta, locked in excruciating erotic two-step as a melancholy Beverly Hills housewife and her hopeful lover boy. Dec 18, 2015 Full Review Rene Jordan El Nuevo Herald (Miami) The premise is so antiquated that it includes scenes that already seem eternally retired from the screen with an advanced sinelity. [Full review in Spanish] Jan 18, 2024 Full Review Daniel Barnes Dare Daniel Moment by Moment announces its indifference and ineptitude in the opening moments and then reinforces it over the next several thousand moments. Rated: 1.5/5 Nov 16, 2021 Full Review Frank J. Avella Edge Media Network the script is atrocious. It sounds like it's been improvised by the cast of "Gilligan's Island" or "Jersey Shore" - not written by one of our best playwrights (Jane Wagner).
