Sarah Caroline B A nostalgic way to spend an evening that's slightly spooky but won't give your children nightmares. Injusto... Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/26/22 Full Review Audience Member Say what you will about my love of live action Disney movies — not to mention Disney Channel movies — but I defy you to not enjoy a movie in which Robert Carradine shows up as a vampire hunter named Malachi Van Helsing. The vampire in this movie, Dimitri Denatos, is played by The Right Honourable and The Lord Charles Shaughnessy George Patrick Shaughnessy, who is the 5th Baron Shaughnessy. He was also Maxwell on The Nanny, just in case you think this movie is getting too fancy. He wants to find a human woman to fall in love with — hey The Lost Boys — and the children of Caroline Rhea's character all come together to save her. It's a goofy little vampire film that would probably be a good entry point if you have young kids who want to start watching things that are a little scarier. Or start them off with Cannibal Ferox and explain to their teachers that it's also called Make Them Die Slowly. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member In this adventure filled movie it has no shortage of fun, mystery and thrills. The character development compliments the story and dialogue very well. The paste is so smooth by the end. Time seems to feel like it didn't exist. Very well thought out in terms of settings, plot, themes and ending. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member I remember watching this on Disney but channel back when it first aired The premise was really cool; basically a single mother finds a date but after her kids answer an ad in the paper it turns into something much darker Turns out her date is a vampire and it doesn't help the oldest son is the lover of vampire movies being an expert in the rules The smaller brother notices first his mother is in danger and it takes some convincing his sister and other brother to plan a rescue keeping her out of the vampires clutches There's also a vampire hunter named Van Helsing played by Dennis Carradine of ‘Lizzie McGuire' fame that's been after this creature of the night for some time This all takes place over the course of one night and around Halloween even though you don't see anything Halloween-related Plus we get to see a young Laura Vandervoort pre-Smallville in a very convincing role as the sister The movie is light in tone, not too scary, has some decent effects, and this family is very lovable since they come to realize love is what matters and can't recognize something in front of them until they see it's broken This is one of Disney Channel's finest turnings Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Wathced this movie with my sister on Halloween night. Sometimes it was so bad it was funny, other times it was waayyy to boring and hard to get through. The plot is also really weird? But that's to be expected when you look at the title lol. Could've been better, but it's pretty harmless. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
