Jonah Koslofsky The Spool The problem here is that Menendez keeps steering this story into slapstick, when it's really quite tragic. Marc Z I never even heard of this movie. Maybe the reason is because it is not, particularly, special. It is good in many ways. The true story of a, down on his luck Philadelphia man, who finds $1.2 million dollars in lost Federal Reserve money, is watchable. The cast is tremendous with John Cusak, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Debbie Mazar, James Gandolfini, Benicia DeToro, and Michael Rappaport. The recently deceased Michael Madsen plays the Detective on the case. The script is decent. The direction and filming leave something to be desired. The biggest issue I have is the consistent attempt to have the characters seem like they are from Philly, when they clearly are not. It is good, overall. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/21/25 Full Review Horror fan 4 The decisions coyle makes in this movie vie will drive you nuts and it's trying to be funny but it really wasn't that funny. Still it's a very entertaining movie. Tim Treakle Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/08/25 Full Review Otvio F Money for Nothing is a film more or less, it is not so convincing anymore John Cusack tries to do the job. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/18/20 Full Review Audience Member Cusack is one of my favorite actors. This film is worth watching for him alone, but is not great despite a fine cast. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member 1/11/2013: Not great, but not bad. Pretty good cast, so coulda shoulda been better.
