      dave j Tuesday, March 20, 2012 (1996) Mongkok Story (In Chinese with English subtitles) DRAMA/ THRILLER This is yet another Hong Kong artistic film that has action in it but are flashy flashy artistic with people swinging machetes and platoons etc... similar to films such as "Hero", "Ashes Of Time", "Noblest Way To Die" etc.. The story centers on little brother narrating his well intentioned 'big brother' working for the triads and his fall as a result of doing some good deeds. Predictable and painful to watch since they're no hard hitting action one could see from a Donnie Yen or a Jackie Chan film at all, only very extremely excruciatingly long and boring stylistic action sequences. 1 out of 4 Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting variation of the Goo Wai Jai films.
