      Critics Consensus

Despite flashes of inspiration, the singularly high-concept Monster Trucks shows that it takes more than monsters and trucks to create a compelling feature film.

Tooch Goofy. Hated it all way through. If I could I would give it 0 stars. Do not recommend Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/10/24 Full Review HABIBA NAZEERA B Good movie and enjoyable. Watching it in 2024. Still feels amazing Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/09/24 Full Review Trina H I just can't wrapp my head around having this adorable monster baby be stuck in a truck, so initially, l could not get into this movie as it made me cringe every time I saw the monster baby being used as an engine for a car. It just seems so crazy! However, as the movie progressed, I began to look pass that and enjoy the movie. I gave this movie 4 1/2 stars because it is a family friendly movie, has a good hearted theme and wonderful ending. Because I am not a monster truck person, so maybe that is why I initially had an adverse reaction to this movie. Overall, it is an enjoyable and inspiring adventure movie. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/28/23 Full Review Alexis G this movie was awesome with a man who be friend by a monster it really was thrill of these monsters that control the trucks of monsters Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/22/23 Full Review Luke R Used to like this, but I don't like it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/16/23 Full Review Omri F Despite the somewhat shaky and unoriginal premise, this movie has stolen my heart with adorable squid things Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Steve Davis Austin Chronicle At times, Monster Trucks faintly echoes E.T., but it has all the grace of a jacked-up Ford F-150 with a four-link suspension and tractor tires crushing a row of cars by steamrolling atop them. Rated: 1.5/5 Jan 19, 2017 Full Review Scott Marks San Diego Reader Audiences could do (and have done) a lot worse than this genial throwback to a time when Kurt Russell was Disney's #1 living, breathing attraction. Rated: 3/5 Jan 16, 2017 Full Review Sam Fragoso TheWrap These elements are all well and good, but if you're above the age of 12, it becomes considerably harder to reconcile the sporadic tone-deafness. Jan 14, 2017 Full Review Richard Crouse Richard Crouse TODAY! TODAY! TODAY! The worst movie on four wheels! No adrenaline pumping action! Monster Trucks! We'll sell you the whole seat... to make it easy to take a nap! Rated: 0/5 Feb 28, 2021 Full Review Andrew Gaudion THN A by-the-numbers family friendly picture which is so harmless that it ends up being quite charming. Rated: 3/5 Aug 30, 2020 Full Review Allen Almachar The MacGuffin It doesn't have any kind of poisonous message, and it doesn't contain anything that might be seen as offensive or derogatory. It just doesn't have much of anything else either. Rated: C- Jul 18, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews
