The elements that have to do with Dallas dealing with his father's death and his anger about that loss are nicely done, but they're wrapped up a little quickly, with no consequences or explanations for some of his actions.

Completely awful on every single level, Monsters of California takes a mishandled detour from paranormal investigations of ghosts to hidden conspiracies about outer-space aliens. The movie's three vapid and annoying lead characters make everything worse.

The way the film escalates into a bizarre conspiracy theory movie should be hardly surprising, but the choices as to how to go about this serve as a mask for some familiar but effective themes. An enjoyable enough venture from the guy at the rock show.

A fun movie with a solid message. Hopefully gains traction to more theaters as people should see this in theaters. It’s got a lot of everything, comedic toilet humor with a charm, family drama, some romance, and all thing paranormal. Tom DeLonge knocks it out of the park as the director and has a great soundtrack and score. Really enjoyed the movie.

What could have been the next ghostbusters turns into a crazy comedy, which is not entirely a bad thing. The skater dudes turned amateur scientists give lots of funny gags on their way to greatness. The premise is touching and but Gabrielle Haugh really saves the bunch. Clearly, alot of good stuff has been cut out, which the films gives away in some dialogue. There is a lot of illogical stuff here (SPOLER ALERT: like why interrogate teenagers in a secret ufo-base?) but they are ofthen there to give room for more jokes. As a crazy comedy this comes off good. It's not a great sci-fi film and the name is misleading.

I’ve been a fan of Tom Delonge since i was a kid. Love his music and honestly consider him a role model, but his movie “Monsters of California” is a huge disappointment - this has to be some of the worst acting I have ever seen in my entire life. Still love you though, Tom.
