Marc B @Mbrueggemann Jul 2 Nothing but Christian Nationalist garbage. The United States is not founded upon Christianity; it is founded on the ideals of the Enlightenment. We are not a Christian nation; we are an enlightened nation. To say that we are a Christian nation is literally calling for a theocracy. The Puritans would create a theocracy that was not free, which is why people ran away from them to create new denominations because of the theocracy of the Puritans. Our nation's founding ideals were created by humans, not God. The founding fathers would totally be cutting this documentary to ribbons for the Christian nationalism that is shoved down upon them and for the deification of the pilgrims, despite their oppressing Native Americans and their own people that lead to the Salem witch trials.
