Audience Member the movie that dukes of hazzard was based on, but not nearly as charming. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Im a big fan of The Dukes of Hazzard. It was a big part of my childhood & is one of those shows that I watch now & enjoy just as much if not more. The Moonrunners is the movie that is mostly directly responsible for its existence. You get Uncle Jesse, Sheriff Rosco Coltrane, Cooter, the Boars Nest as well as fast car driving cousins. The Dukes of Hazzard just took the basic principles, added a bad ass car & made them a pop culture phenomena. After watching Moonrunners I actually wish the Dukes was about moonshiners instead of everyone being on probation. Fans of the show (& fans of great drive-in) need to check this movie out. Although not as charismatic the TV show it's still cool shit & is almost as good as Burt Reynolds' White Lightning Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member The very movie that inspired none other than The Dukes of Hazzard. Love it or hate it Moonrunners has everything going in just right the direction as long as it's the direction you happen to favor. Fast cars, hard drinkin', and light hearted tom foolery. What else could one ask for? Action...yeah, yeah that's in there. It's a ride just make sure you buy the ticket because it's a stub you'll wanna double stick to your ceiling.
