Eve Tushnet Patheos Semi-painless, but the only real audiences for this thing are Redgrave completists and people writing their thesis on the Republican Party in 1980s teen films. Mar 21, 2022 Full Review Kevin Carr 7M Pictures even with the Alan Smithee label, Morgan Stewart's Coming Home isn't bad at all Rated: 2.5/5 Apr 28, 2009 Full Review David Cornelius DVDTalk.com All these years, I've kept a soft spot in my heart for it, in all its clumsy glory. Could I ever quite call it a good movie? Not really, not entirely. Rated: 2.5/5 Apr 15, 2009 Full Review Philip Martin Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Rated: 2/5 Jul 10, 2005 Full Review Daniel M. Audience Member In spite of Paul Aaron having his name taken off as director, it's really not all that bad. Cryer is funny as always and the plot is at least partially believable, especially given the time and place. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member I love Jon Cryer in this movie. It's also got a good story, it's not fantastic, but it's a lot of fun and very funny, I really like this movie, and I highly recommend it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member You know, all of his posters and references more or less made up for the fact that this could possibly be the worst movie ever made. ;) Morbid Morgan! Woot! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I love loved this movie when I was 12, I still love it today. just bought the DVD. can you believe 20 years after it's release it comes to DVD, how cool! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member i enyoyed this film like i do many other 80`s teen comedys. i dont understand the director wanting the Alan Smithee credit. it is a decent film. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty stupid but as a child, I remember loving Morgan's horror collection and being totally jealous that he got to sneak out and go to midnight screenings of horror movies. Funny that whoever the director of the movie was thought it was so bad that he opted to change the credit to Alan Smithee - it's no worse than most of the other movies made at the time.
