It's a bold choice to devote a solid minute of the running time to the famed "Macbeth" monologue including the line, "a tale told by an idiot full of sound and fury signifying nothing." Bold, and like the rest of the movie, a little too self-aware.

Contender for one of the worst self-serious movies i've ever seen. Misguided social justice tropes, abysmal acting (though the character of Pearl is almost tolerable) and utterly ruinous to vampire lore. I've come to accept vampire movies are 1 in 1000 if you're going to rate them by watchable, but this one has so many inconsistencies it feels like a competition between writers for who can out-stupid the other. The few gory blood scenes seem forced and out of place, yet it's not a light hearted movie and humor is nowhere to be found. Barely watchable on a second monitor while you're working.
