James C What can I say about Motivational Growth, it is mind trip of a movie that could be the 80's love child of Little Shop of Horrors and Monty Python! And I mean that as a high compliment. I can't say enough good things about the set design, wardrobe, cinematography and all around production values! Though the entire movie takes place in a single apartment for the most part, it was all extremely well done and isn't just your basic apartment movie. If this wasn't a set built on a soundstage then they did some serious set design to the apartment itself. If that's the case, good luck getting your deposit back! If you're in the mood for a random, out there mind trip of a film, then I highly recommend Motivational Growth. Well done Don Thacker and the entire cast and crew! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/22/24 Full Review Sam G Props for one of the most original movies I've seen in a long, long time; it's totally unique. It's not trying to be great cinema, but it kept me engaged, and that's something not every movie does. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/10/24 Full Review mike b It's wierd, it's funny, it's got horror elements and at points makes u think. All I know is I couldn't stop watching this low budget film. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/08/24 Full Review Audience Member this starts very poorly, but gets better as it goes along. it's weird as heck but it's basically a new little shop of horrors. it does sometimes seem like the actors are used to a stage production a lot of the time. the ending had ~4 too many twists (maybe more?), and it was never clear what actually happened, which was quite a letdown. other than the first and last 15 minutes or so, i liked it. there was clearly a lot of work put into the details despite limited budget. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Very weird movie. Is it horror? is it comedy? i can't say.I quite enjoyed most of the film though. The ending was a little too predictable and tone deaf for my taste but as whole the movie managed to keep me entertained and engaged. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member an absolute staple in any horror movie lovers collection. great story, great acting, great directing, greak look and feel to the film, and one of the coolest use of 8bit music in a film.
