Jodi Walker The Ringer [It] brings about an entire generation of tweens’ first brushes with Shakespeare, dynamic gender expression, and the niche sport of motocross. Ashlyn W One of the greatest cinematic masterpieces of all time. Bonitinho… Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/17/22 Full Review Audience Member Disney Channel Productions proudly presents: Motor Crossed!!!!!!!!!! Starring a cast of the greatest English-speaking stars ever. All families are admitted, allowed, awesome, and are not ****ing ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member In a movie about accomplishing a dream no matter the hardships that follow. The rich narrative is complimented by the fast pace action and is mellowed out by the heart that the lead conveys making this DCOM a success. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review jon c One can cross to a place they've never dreamed and still make it in the world of sports. This is another Disney Channel Original Movie that I completely missed growing up. The plots easy to understand. A family of sports motorcyclists is hoping to get a sponsorship. Their only daughter, Andi wants to partake in the competition but her father can't picture her on a bike. He only expects her to ordinary teenage girl things. But after her brother, Andrew suffers an injury she feels guilty. So the only way for them to win the cup is for her to take his place. She sports a haircut and disguises her voice so the professional riders don't notice. This is another one of those stories involving sports and overcoming the sexism that comes with it. Who says professional motor crossing has to be for men? A family figures if they have a girl they won't have to worry about getting dirty or hurt when it comes to sports. Ones dreams end but they shouldn't let their children give up so easily. If it wasn't for the bad stuff winning wouldn't mean a thing. This also shows how far a relative is willing to go for their family for a shot at the title. Plus at one point the mother expresses why she's against letting her daughter compete. The movie has a great female lead, a lot of the stunts look impressive, and this is one of the rarities where Disney tackles a topical issue when it comes to sports. I guess in a way too the title itself refers to a form of cross dressing with this young girl pretending to dress like a guy to defy the odds and help her family in this world of sports. A cool DCOM film with a great family as well as impressive stunt work. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Even girls can get extreme when it comes to BMX.
