Taking the beloved Mickey Mouse and turning him into a barely recognizable, grotesque caricature feels disrespectful and absurd. The story attempts horror and dark comedy, but the tone is wildly inconsistent, leaving scenes unintentionally laughable rather than engaging. The acting is uniformly terrible, with awkward dialogue and unconvincing performances that make it impossible to connect with the characters. The visuals are equally disastrous—cheap masks, clumsy CGI, and poorly designed props make everything feel low-budget and sloppy. The kills and horror moments are unscary, poorly shot, and poorly edited, while the narrative is incoherent, with subplots abandoned and motivations unclear. Even the attempt to mimic Disney settings falls flat, offering no magic or immersion. Mouseboat Massacre fails as comedy, horror, or family entertainment, and it mismanages a beloved franchise. The acting is surprisingly good, the design of Mouse is creepy but kinda mid (you can see the eyeholes, barely unnoticeable). The practical effects are magnificent, besides the mask. The tape doesn’t reveal anything for the story unlike The Ring, and Mouse in some scenes looks goofy, besides the opening scene when the lights shut off and he’s in the window that was foreshadowed, a bit eerie tbh. If you like weird CGI, this is worth the watch, when Mouse starts buffering like a tape and when he gets lit on fire, it looks cheesy, pun attended! It is definitely worth buying and worth watching on a weird basis, & Harry Boxley makes these movies good and cool and I dig Piglet and Mouse of Horrors, but not as much as this film, Fairest of them All is still the best in my opinion though.
