TIME Magazine Since there are no recognizable humans in it, Mr. Hobbs is really strictly for the bird watchers. Jun 7, 2011 Full Review Variety Staff Variety This is a fun picture, although it misfires, chiefly in the situation development department. ed m Jimmy Stewart & Maureen O'Hara are two of the all time greats, but this movie is weak. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/24 Full Review lanfranco c Definitely the Family is all! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Frances H I saw this flick when I was a kid and it ran in the theaters--back in the old Memorial Theater in Mckeesport, Pa. I enjoyed it them, but probably I enjoyed it more now, because, being older, I can identify with Mr. Hobbes. I also read Merry Christmas Mr. Baxter by the same author, Edward Streeter, and Mr. Baxter's little asides in his own mind are just as funny as Mr. Hobbes little comments in his own mind! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/04/21 Full Review deke p 1962! run down shack house on EMERALD BAY, Orange County. GREAT cast. FABIAN! Famous movie, title at least. But dated silly movie, depressing in parts.
